Sometimes, writing for different genres of music means you have to think about the depth and character of your orchestration!
That's why EastWest's Hollywood Fantasy Strings library is here to bring that exact magic to your music! It's specifically designed for those epic and fantastical scores and I'm so excited that I got to check it out!
This isn't a standard string library—it's a dedicated, meticulously sampled collection that aims to enhance your music with that unique fantasy edge. The library offers different renaissance, medieval, and ancient instruments, from the hauntingly beautiful hardanger fiddle to the enchanting lute and the dulcimer, each serving as a versatile tool to transport your audience to new worlds!
The last EastWest product that I covered was their Hollywood Orchestrator update. Since then, they've really been building up their Opus libraries! They've now begun releasing individual sections of an overarching Fantasy Orchestra, starting with these strings, the most recent brass library, soon the winds, percussion, voices and the eventual release of the Fantasy Orchestrator later this year. This is all leading us towards one comprehensive Fantasy collection!
I've been fortunate enough to have connected with the marketing team recently. So I'll be able to share each upcoming library with you as they release! You can look forward to staying in the loop and getting a detailed look into each of these remarkable libraries as they come!
Spoiler: Brass is coming next 😄
