Scope and responsibility

Robert Rodriguez, doing business as Robert Rodriguez Music and using the Film Scores Explored brand, is responsible for the customer and subscriber information used to operate these services. Contact hello@robertrodriguezmusic.com with privacy questions or requests.

This policy covers personal information processed through our websites, communications, resources, transactions and related services. It describes the categories of information involved, why it is used, who may receive it, how long it is kept and your applicable choices and rights. Third-party providers also process information under their own privacy notices.

Information you provide

When you register, request Materials or subscribe to communications, we collect the contact information you provide, such as your name and email address. We may retain the source of the request and relevant preferences needed to supply what you requested. Information needed for one service is not automatically required for every other service.

For transactions and paid access, checkout and payment providers may collect your name, email address, billing details, payment information and relevant tax location. We receive the order and customer information needed to fulfil the transaction and support you. Payment processors handle card details under their own privacy and security notices.

If you create a community profile, submit work, join discussions or contact support, the relevant service processes the information you choose to provide, including messages, profile details and attachments. Avoid submitting sensitive information or private client work that is not needed for the service.

Technical information and email activity

Website hosting, security, form and account providers may process IP addresses, device or browser information, timestamps, requested pages and similar technical data to deliver and protect their services.

Email providers may record delivery, subscription confirmation, unsubscribe requests, link clicks and, where enabled, reported opens. An open may be estimated or generated by a mail-provider privacy feature; it is not definitive evidence that you read an email. We use relevant activity to manage delivery and understand how our emails are used.

Technical processing varies by page and provider. Forms, embedded media, external image hosts and account services may receive technical information when their content loads or their services are used. The providers and current analytics practices are described below.

Purposes of processing

We use relevant information to deliver requested resources and emails, supply purchased products, manage account and community access, answer questions, process cancellations or refunds, prevent abuse and maintain business and accounting records.

Marketing communications are described when you subscribe. We use relevant preferences and service activity to manage those communications and keep them relevant. A transaction and marketing permission are separate matters; we must respect your subscription choices and applicable consent requirements.

We do not use a community submission as a public testimonial or advertisement solely because you posted it. Identifiable promotional use requires appropriate separate permission.

Providers and processing categories

Communications and account services. Kit processes subscriptions, forms, delivery messages, preferences and email activity. Podia processes transactions, customer accounts, hosted access and participation information. Configured integrations may transfer customer names, email addresses and purchase tags between these providers, subject to the settings and permissions in use.

Payments, hosting and support. Payment providers, including Stripe where connected, process payments and related fraud and tax information. Hosting and business communication providers process technical information and correspondence needed to serve, secure and support the Services. We provide information to providers for the applicable service and subject to their relevant contractual and privacy terms.

External content and workspaces. Notion processes information when its hosted workspaces or content are accessed or copied. YouTube receives information when embedded players load or are used. External image hosts may receive IP addresses and browser/request information when images load. ReelCrafter and social media providers process information when you use links to their services. Their notices explain their own practices.

Analytics and advertising. Google Analytics measures website activity and may use cookies or similar identifiers. The Meta pixel sends website activity to Meta for advertising measurement and audiences; Meta also processes information under its own privacy notice. These optional tools are configured for our public marketing pages and load only after you allow the relevant category in Privacy settings. They are disabled in the private custom-site preview.

Access integrations. A configured Podia–Discord connection may process account and access information when you use that integration. Availability of an integration does not mean it is included in every service.

Hosted access. Access-controlled pages hosted through OpenAI may require an OpenAI account and involve that provider’s sign-in and access processing. This is separate from a customer account used for purchases and hosted services.

User content, participation and recordings

A profile, post, uploaded composition or discussion may be visible to other members who can access the relevant community space. We cannot guarantee that another participant will not copy or disclose information you share. Check the intended audience before posting.

Community calls are recorded, with replays available to eligible members under the relevant offer. Hosted replay access lasts through the paid membership period and ends when that period ends, including the remaining paid time after cancellation. Earlier access commitments and any separately purchased rights remain subject to their original terms. Recordings may include your voice, image, screen, comments and work you choose to share. We will explain recording and the replay audience before a call and obtain any permission required. A member-only replay is separate from public promotion or disclosure to people outside that audience.

We keep useful recordings in a curated replay library for ongoing community education. We review the library at least annually and remove recordings that no longer have a justified use, subject to applicable rights and legal obligations. We also review retention when a relevant privacy request, permission change or service closure requires it.

With separately documented permission for the stated purposes, selected call excerpts, posts, comments and testimonials may be used on our websites, in emails, on social media or in advertising. Promotional content can become public and be processed by the relevant hosting and advertising platforms. We must explain the recipients, uses and applicable choices before that permission is given; general participation does not authorize unrestricted sharing. Marketing and prospective-member preview permissions are optional and separate from participation and member replay access. Declining either does not affect your membership.

A separate preview permission may allow an agreed full call, edited replay or selected posts to be shared with prospective members considering the community. Before obtaining that permission, we must explain the preview audience, delivery channels and applicable withdrawal/removal process. We do not treat all member-only recordings as promotional previews. Member music and confidential information are excluded, and the permission of every identifiable participant included must cover the preview use.

Your original music, performances, recordings, scores and project files are excluded from that marketing permission. We must remove or avoid those materials in an excerpt unless you give a separate, specific licence. Where consent is the legal basis, you can withdraw it using the stated process or by contacting support. We will stop future consent-based use as required and explain what can be removed from our channels and the limits on copies already shared by others.

Parent or guardian permission is required for promotional use of a minor’s name, likeness or voice where applicable. Recording access, continued storage and marketing permission are separate matters; ending a membership does not by itself grant new promotional rights or settle a privacy request.

Cookies, forms and external media

Account, checkout and hosted-form providers may use cookies or similar technologies for session management, security, delivery and measurement. Hosted forms may use anti-spam services, including Google reCAPTCHA where enabled. External media can communicate technical information to the media provider when it loads or plays.

Use Privacy settings on our websites to allow or reject optional analytics and advertising, or to change your choices later. Essential account, security and requested-form services remain available without optional tracking consent. Embedded players may load when they appear on a page and communicate technical information to their providers before playback. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed mode where available; this does not mean the player processes no personal information. Embedded players are separate from the Google Analytics and Meta choices in our Privacy settings. The provider’s privacy notice and controls apply to its player. We remember choices in this browser for up to 180 days; different website addresses may require separate choices. Our advertising controls keep Meta disabled when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential platform cookies may prevent login, checkout or form submission. Contact us about a tracking preference or privacy request; the relevant provider’s controls and privacy notice also apply to its service.

Where a privacy signal or opt-out must be honoured under applicable law, it applies to the processing covered by that requirement. Third-party providers have their own signal-handling practices and controls; a browser setting may not affect every embedded service in the same way.

Email preferences and unsubscribing

We send newsletters and promotional emails through Kit. Use the unsubscribe link in those emails to stop receiving them. Your Podia account separately manages purchase, account and community notifications. Necessary receipts and service messages may continue after you unsubscribe from marketing.

Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact support to stop those messages. We may retain a minimal suppression record so an import or integration does not accidentally subscribe you again. A prior purchase or other account activity does not authorize us to ignore an unsubscribe.

Essential purchase receipts, delivery information, security notices and membership administration may still be sent when needed to provide your service. Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel a paid subscription. Use the account cancellation process for membership billing and contact support if you need help.

Legal obligations and other disclosures

We may disclose relevant information where required by law, to respond to a valid legal process, to investigate fraud or misuse, or to protect lawful rights and safety. We limit the disclosure to what is appropriate for the purpose.

A business transfer, reorganization or closure may require handling customer records and outstanding obligations. Any transfer must respect applicable law and the purposes and promises under which the information was collected; it is not permission for an unrelated new owner to ignore your privacy choices.

Where you allow Meta advertising tools, disclosures to advertising providers may constitute sale, sharing or targeted advertising as defined by applicable regional laws, even without a payment for the information. Use Privacy settings to turn off optional advertising or contact us to exercise any applicable rights concerning these uses. We will honour applicable consent and opt-out requirements. A new, materially different use of information requires the appropriate notices and permissions.

Retention and deletion

We retain subscriber information while it is needed to deliver the emails you request, customer information while it is needed to supply and support purchases, and records needed for accounting, legal compliance, security or dispute handling for the relevant required period. Retention depends on the service relationship, the purpose of the record, outstanding obligations or disputes, and applicable legal requirements.

We may retain a limited unsubscribe or suppression record, completed transaction record or other information we are legally entitled or required to keep after a deletion request. Backups and platform systems may take time to remove information from routine copies. We will explain applicable limits when responding to a request.

Community replays are retained while they have a justified educational use, with the library reviewed at least annually. Unneeded recordings are removed, subject to applicable rights and legal obligations. An approved promotional excerpt has its own stated purpose and permission; keeping a community recording does not automatically authorize its continued marketing use. Contact us with a deletion or other privacy request. Deleting an account is separate from cancelling its billing; identify both requests if both are intended.

Security

We use the access controls and security features appropriate to the services and information involved, and aim to restrict access to people and providers who need it for their work. You should keep your account credentials private and report suspected unauthorized access.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. If an incident requires notification under applicable law, we will provide the required notice and cooperate with the relevant service providers.

International visitors and legal bases

We operate in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Where international-transfer safeguards are required, the relevant arrangements must be used; a website visit alone is not blanket consent to every possible transfer.

Where the GDPR, UK data protection law or similar rules apply, processing may rely on consent for optional marketing or tracking, performance of a purchase or service agreement, legal obligations, or a legitimate interest such as necessary security and support, subject to the protections and choices required by the applicable law.

If those laws apply to your information, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing, obtain a portable copy, object to certain uses, withdraw consent and complain to the appropriate supervisory authority. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.

Requests and regional privacy rights

Contact support with the email associated with your record and a description of your request. We may need reasonable verification before disclosing or changing personal information. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies and explain any lawful exception.

Depending on your location and the laws applicable to this business, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, targeted advertising, sale or sharing, appeals or authorized-agent requests. We will honour applicable rights without retaliation. This policy does not claim that every regional law applies to a small business or that every visitor has identical statutory rights.

For California or Nevada requests concerning disclosures or sales as defined by the relevant law, use the same contact address and identify the nature of the request. Information subject to another party’s independent control may also require a request to that provider.

Children’s information

We do not direct the services to children under 13 or knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.

Our hosted accounts and participation services are intended for people aged 16 or older. People aged 16 or 17 may participate only with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision and subject to any stricter provider eligibility rules. A parent arranging a purchase does not authorize unnecessary collection or unrestricted promotional use of a minor’s information.

Changes and contact

We will date updates and provide notice of material changes when required. A revised policy does not automatically authorize a new incompatible use of information already collected. Additional consent will be obtained where required.
