I gotta be honest...coming from a more orchestral background, I've struggled with learning about synths and how they work.
Sure, I've learned the basics but I find myself more comfortable with orchestral instruments! I wonder if you have a similar story? The thing is, if you haven't already, you might find that you need to break out of that comfort zone depending on the project or collaboration you're working on.
SO, even though I love writing for the orchestra, there are times I might need to work with synths as well! But that doesn't mean the process should be difficult, right? I really believe that anything that takes me out of a creative state is more of a hinderance than benefit.
Recently, Teletone Audio shared a copy of their synth library, Scarbo with me. So I thought it would be a great idea to share and discuss my thoughts on it! After playing around with Scarbo, I definitely think this is something that any composer (veteran and new) can find value in!
Scarbo has two major knobs...Mood and Movement. And let me tell you, they take away the struggle and difficulty of learning a new synth while still allowing for creative freedom!
Check out my overview video below so that you can learn more about Scarbo and see how you can save 15% off your purchase if you do find it valuable!
