I’m Robert.
I’m a composer and educator. I help composers move past writer’s block, master thematic intentionality, and write music with deep narrative purpose.
I kept trying to force a theme and “find my voice.”
Music gigs started to feel uninspired. When ideas didn’t come, I convinced myself I needed:
- A new sample library for the sound I wasn’t getting
- A more comprehensive template so I’d be ready for any project
- Another round of mix and balance tweaks
But nothing really made me feel connected to the music I was writing. So I started finding excuses to procrastinate and avoid composing altogether.
Once I put story first, my entire creative process shifted.
I finished more, second-guessed less, and I rediscovered the fun of musical storytelling. My music finally started sounding like me again!
